We are a thriving and successful Scout Group which has been running for over 70 years. We are so fortunate to have our HQ situated at the Staithe beside the River Waveney and proud to be affiliated to the Royal Navy – being one of only 105 in the UK.

Over the years many youngsters have benefited from learning countless life skills through weekly activities and badge work as well as taking part in numerous camping, hiking and canoeing expeditions. All of these activities would not be possible without a dedicated team of leaders whom we greatly appreciate.

As well as warranted leaders, we are also very grateful to those parents who help on a weekly basis. However, we are always hoping more people will volunteer to help or become warranted leaders as all sections have extensive waiting lists. It is a legal requirement that we hold an annual AGM to which parents/grandparents/carers are invited and it is also a legal requirement that we have some parent representation as trustees on the committee. On Tuesday 7th of October we are having an evening campfire with refreshments from 6.30pm – 8.30pm to which you are all invited; we will hold a short AGM at 7.00pm. If you consider being part of the trustee board please contact us in advance.
